Cindy Kramer

President
Cindy Kramer has been the president of the BCGA for more than 6 years. She has been a professional guardian since 2003 and a Geriatric Care Manager since 2000. As a member of the National Guardianship Association, a former board member of the Florida State Guardianship Association and a member of the Aging Life Care Association, she brings a plethora of knowledge and experience to her position as president. Cindy also owns Elder Solutions Inc, a Guardianship and Care Management company that enriches the lives of, and cares for incapacitated wards of Dade, Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Jody Leslie is a Board Certified Wills, Trusts and Estates Lawyer for more than 28 years. She is admitted to practice in both Florida and New York. She attained her Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Financial Accounting from the George Washington University, her Juris Doctorate (JD) from Fordham University School of Law and her Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning from the University of Miami School of Law. She was an Auditor as well as a Tax Attorney with Touche Ross & Company’s New York City office and a Trust Officer with the Manhattan office of The Morgan Bank prior to her moving to Florida. Ms. Leslie is a Fund Advisor for the Harold Rosenberg Fund for Children’s Education through the Community Foundation of Broward County and was on the Board of Directors for Tomorrow’s Rainbow, Inc. She has been a volunteer with the Dade County Guardian Ad Litem Program as well as the Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) programs in Washington, DC and New York City. She has served as the Treasurer of the Broward County Guardianship Association since 2014 and her practice is focused on Guardianships, Wills, Trusts, Estates and litigation of all Probate matters.

Danielle Feuer

Director
Danielle is a partner at the law firm of Behar, Gutt & Glazer, P.A., located in Dania Beach. Danielle has over a decade of experience assisting families address the needs of their elderly and disabled loved ones. She is committed to helping families navigate complex Elder Care issues and has a broad based knowledge that enables her to thoroughly address the legal needs of her clients. Danielle primarily concentrates her practice on Guardianship and Incapacity matters.

Peter C. Leighton, M.S. Ed., Director of Client Relationships at PLR CPAs (Palermo, Landsman and Ross PA). A full service Accounting, Tax and Bookkeeping Firm.Peter earned a M.S. Ed. (Higher Education Administration and Faculty Curriculum) from Florida State University, 1994 and a B.A. (Psychology, Counseling) from the University of North Carolina-Wilmington, 1991. Peter worked as a University Administrator/Faculty member for 12 years for three universities, including Arizona State University, Rochester Institute of Technology and Florida International University, on a wide variety of issues, including college student housing, leadership development programing, community relations and standards, student conduct, academic dishonesty and conflict mediation. Peter is a Certified Mediator, via New York state since 1997.For the last 23 years, Peter's career has focused upon senior care, including assisted living, private duty and in-home based skilled nursing services, adult development and life planning for persons age 17-109. Peter successfully mastered law firm brand recognition, marketing and business development 2015-2022, while at Chepenik Trushin LLP. His strategy continues to be relationship-based and word of mouth marketing. Adult development is his core focus and passion.

Holly Thomas has over 30 years experience in the home health care industry, specializing in Private Duty services including long term care insurance plans, VA benefits and Medicaid programs. Holly coordinates patient care – connecting the client, clinical team and patient. Acting as the patient’s advocate, Holly’s top priority is to ensure top notch home care services are delivered with the highest customer satisfaction. Holly is also the Chairman of The Board at The Dellenbach Foundation and an active Board Member for NABIP in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Dr. Dmitry Byk

Director
Dr. Byk has been practicing adult, geriatric, and forensic psychiatry for over 15 years. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in biology from The University of Hartford. Then went on to receive his Medical Doctor (MD) degree at St. George’s University School of Medicine. His medical training continued at Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University where he completed an adult psychiatry residency and then a forensic psychiatry specialty from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine. Currently he is in private practice in Davie, FL where he treats adults with mental illnesses including depression, anxiety, bipolar, ADHD, and other disorders. He is also the host of a mental health podcast The Psych Effect where they discuss sports, news, and current events within the scope of mental health to better education and destigmatize this important issue.

Lawrence Levy, Esq. is a principal of the Law Offices of Lawrence Levy, P.A. in Davie, Florida. Mr. Levy has been practicing law in the areas of elder law, estate planning, probate and guardianship law for the past twenty-six (26) years. Mr. Levy earned his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Miami and earned his Master’s degree from Florida International University. Mr. Levy attended Nova Southeastern University School of Law where he received his Juris
Doctorate degree. Mr. Levy is a member of the Florida Bar’s Real Property, Probate and Trust Law Section as well as a member of the Florida Bar’s Elder Law Section. Mr. Levy is Board Certified in Elder Law by the Florida Bar and is a Florida Supreme Court Certified Mediator, specializing in elder law issues. Mr. Levy is fluent in
